With dozens of places to hike within a half hour of the Florida Hiking Festival, you'll have plenty of opportunities to hike on your own to, from, and during the event while enjoying the beauty of the Suwannee Valley region. Guided activities will fill up quickly, but if you really need to get out and take a hike, you have numerous options within an easy walk or very short drive of Stephen Foster Folk Culture State Park.

Backpackers! Since the festival is right along the Florida Trail, you can hike in or out of the event with ease. If you need a shuttle, contact American Canoe Adventures to arrange one. They'll allow you to leave your car with them while you hike. Remember, you must be a Florida Trail Association member to hike this segment of the trail, since it crosses many small parcels of private land surrounding White Springs. We're grateful to have the support of these local landowners to keep the trail open.
